The Eels strike again with the signing of another top Canadian 2004 forward Aaron Bertschinger  5’11” 170 lbs. from Winnipeg  Canada. The Eels  in fact have always done well in Montreal, and Toronto/Hamilton  but in the last 4+ seasons the Eels have extended their scouting foot print to the Edmonton, Calgary Winnipeg and Vancouver regions. We just love the culture and character of all the guys we have had from the western area of Canada.

Aaron is a veteran  junior player having garnered some seeded experience over the last 2 seasons. However, he is now looking to bring his game to the Next Level. We saw last year that he had strong skill set and at the USPHL Showcase in May where he played for the Eels . showcase team, he showed the Eels coaching staff how much more he could give. He is a strong skater, good hands, loves to drive to the net and makes things happen. He propelled the Eels team to a 2-1 record at the showcase.

We are thrilled that he has chosen the Eels this season. We know what we can do int terms of player development and he has so much left in the tank and our coaches will untapped these talents. We witnessed at the showcase that he is a hard working young man and very determined. That is in complete accord with  the Eels DNA. This is an excellent fit for both.
