Florida Eels Elevated to NCDC for the 2026–27 Season

The Florida Eels Junior Hockey Program is proud to announce a historic milestone in the evolution of our organization. Beginning in the 2026–27 season, the Eels have officially been elevated to compete at the highest level of the United States Premier Hockey League—the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC).

This advancement is a direct reflection of over two decades of sustained excellence, commitment to player development, and unmatched performance both on and off the ice. The USPHL Executive Committee has recognized what many already know—the Florida Eels are one of the premier development programs in North America.

A Proven Track Record of Advancement

At the core of the Eels program is our unwavering commitment to advancing players to the next level. Over the past 20+ years:

• 400+ players have advanced to college hockey programs
• 23 players have competed in NCAA Division I and III over the past 2–3 seasons
• A consistent pipeline of talent continues to move on to higher levels of competition

This is not just a statistic—it is the foundation and mission of our program.

What separates the Florida Eels from other programs is our daily commitment to development. Our players train five hours per day, five days per week, following a structured and comprehensive system designed to maximize performance:

• Strength & Conditioning Training – Building elite-level physical strength and endurance
• Sports Court Development – Focus on agility, speed, quickness, and coordination
• Skill Work – Passing, shooting, puck control, and hockey IQ
• Video & Performance Analysis – Detailed breakdown of individual performance, Team systems evaluation, Opponent analysis (both past and upcoming)

This daily, disciplined approach ensures that every player is constantly improving, learning, and preparing for the next level.
