Florida Eels Continue to Develop Champions: More Than 20 Alumni Excelling in NCAA and Professional Hockey
The Florida Eels Junior Hockey Program has long been recognized as one of the premier development organizations in North America, and the success of its alumni continues to prove why. Today, more than 20 former Florida Eels players are competing at the NCAA level and in professional hockey, continuing the tradition of excellence that has defined the organization for decades.
For the Florida Eels, success has never been measured solely by wins and championships. While the organization has earned countless league titles and national appearances, its greatest accomplishment has always been helping young men achieve their dream of playing hockey at the next level.
“The goal has always been player advancement,” said Florida Eels General Manager Frank Scarpaci. “Every player who comes through our program has aspirations of continuing their hockey career. Watching our alumni succeed in college and professional hockey is the greatest reward for our coaches and organization. Their success is a reflection of their hard work, commitment, and character.”

Whether it’s tending the crease in NCAA competition, anchoring a defensive corps, lighting the lamp at the collegiate level, or skating in professional leagues such as the SPHL, ECHL, and FPHL, Florida Eels alumni continue to represent the organization with pride.
