Chowder Cup

The Florida Eels invites players from across the Globe to partake and compete each Spring (May) and Summer (July) in the Pro Am Chowder Cup Series of Showcases. Annually, we host several teams in each Division providing players an opportunity to showcase their skills in very competitive games against teams from the USA, Canada and Europe. Our rosters have included players from across the World Including: USA, Canada: Edmonton, Calgary, Manitoba, Vancouver, Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Nova Scotia, Europe: Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, China, South Korea and Australia

The Pro Am Chowder Cup Series has been hosting these showcases/tournaments for over 4 decades, offering players enormous exposure and visibility in front of Pro Scouts from the NHL, AHL, ECHL SPHL, as well as coaches from NCAA and ACHA Division I, II  and III college  teams;  and Junior teams such as Canadian Major Junior, the BCHL, AJHL, NAHL NCDC, the USPHL, NA3HL and the EHL.

There are 100’s of teams competing in these events. They offer unprecedented exposure for junior and college bound players who are looking to come under the direct radar of the college and junior coaches. Remember, “if you are not seen you will not be scouted. If you are not scouted, it is unlikely that you will be recruited”

Over the last 2 decades, the Florida Eels have hosted 100’s of teams at the Pro Am Chowder Cup Showcases/Tournaments. We have advanced hundreds of players to Junior and college programs from the Pro Am events. Indeed, the Eels are one of the preeminent junior programs in North America, having won 10+ Divisional titles, advanced 10+ years in the playoffs and National appearances and advanced 350 alumni to college hockey programs.  There is no doubt the Eels are one of the most recruited programs in Junior hockey.
