Florida Eels Elite Team Slams The Door On Jr Blades 5-0 The Elite team shut out the Blades today and have done so in 2 out of the last 3 games and swept the two-weekend series 4-0. The Elite team has some real balanced scoring from its players getting help from a number of players both on the scoreboard and away from the puck locking up the offensive and defensive bluelines. The Eels took control from the drop of the puck. It was a complete team effort as each player knew his responsibilities both from fore-check back check hard hitting and driving to the net. Our goaltending this weekend was phenomenal from Tom Steere who locked the hatch shut today and limited his goals to 2 Friday night.

The Eels take a commanding lead over the Jr Blades in the regular season play but make one thing clear the Eels will not take the Blades for granted. With 8 games remaining the coaches and players will be dissecting every aspect of their game as well as DME not sure who will be their playoff draw. Next week the Eels face off vs DME Saturday at home Ft Myers Skatium at 9:00 pm
