The Florida Eels are pleased to announce the signing of 2001 veteran forward 5’8 161 lbs. Chase Caravella, for the 2020-21season. Chase is from Conneault Lake, PA, He was a rookie last season and he played like poise and skill veteran. We were very excited to have signed him. He caught the eye of Florida Eels coaches who believe Caravella will fit perfect in the Eels program. In talking with him, we could can tell a good character kid.

We tracked his development in his young career from High School, Midgets to Juniors. We learned he has a high hockey IQ. We firmly believe he has the determination and commitment to be an impact player. We like his multi-faceted skill set that combines hard fore-checking with an eye towards the net. In Juniors, in 33 GP he scored 13 goals and garnered 9 assists being .67 points per game. Moreover, he impressed our coaches with his unwavering commitment to backcheck and shut down opposing team’s top players. He is very strong in the D Zone. That is key as good players know Defense Wins Games!

Caravella fits the mole of an Eels player. Selfless Unwavering commitment determination and dedication. A young man who wants to bring his game to the Next Level and willing to pay the price. It isn’t easy and if it were many would reach that plateau. Chase is a young man who knows and appreciates if you want to play college hockey you need to train the way our program is designed. We welcome Chase to the Florida Eels family.
