The Florida Eels continue to add size and experience to its lineup for the Fall 2020-21 season. The Eels are thrilled to announce it has signed 6’0” seasoned high school player Trent Cleveland from Michigan. Trent comes to the Eels with high marks from our scouting staff. He is a top prospect who will be an impact player. He also got a small sample size in the juniors last year. This is a very strong defender. He understands what it takes to own the D-Zone. Games are won and lost defensively. He has a high hockey IQ. He is a very smooth skater and uses his speed and quickness to his advantage. He understands the Eels transition game and how we use our   defensemen  to convert defense to offense. He is strong on the offensive blueline with decent and accurate shot.

We like his reputation for having a strong work ethic and unwavering commitment and determination. The coaches look forward to working with Trent and further ripen his game to the Next Level and get him ready to play college hockey. This is a huge step in his development as player and opportunity to garner the exposure to the college scouts. We are excited he will be joining us, and we welcome him to the Eels program.
