Landon Engles, Florida Eels
The ‘03 out of Sioux Falls, S.D., Engles picked up three goals and one assist in the Eels’ Feb. 8 win over Atlanta. He also had a couple of assists two games earlier also against the Mad Hatters for a six-point run over two games.
Defense
Cole Oriani, Charleston Colonials
Oriani (‘03/Charleston, S.C.) helped the Colonials to a win over the Hampton Roads Whalers to close the USPHL Southeast Showcase. He also had a goal and an assist in defeats to the Charlotte Rush on Feb. 6-7. Oriani moved up to Elite from last year’s Colonials USPHL 16U team.
Goaltender
Ethan Leigh, Tampa Bay Juniors
Leigh (‘04/Whittier Beach, Fla.) went 2-1 to start February, including a 22-save shutout – his first tSO of the season – against the New York Aviators. He improved to 11-5-0-1 overall with the wins.
