Congratulations to this trio of players from the USPHL Elite’s Southern divisions, the Florida and Southeast.
Forward: Jackson Collins, Carolina Eagles.
Jackson Collins scored a natural hat trick on Saturday and added an assist on Sunday in the Eagles’ two wins over the higher-ranked Atlanta Kings. Collins is an ‘02 out of Wake Forest, N.C.,
Defense: Anthony Sozio, Florida Eels.
Second-year Eels blueliner Sozio (‘99/Cape Coral, Fla.) popped in two goals – including one on the power play – and added two assists in the Eels’ weekend sweep of the DME Swamp Rabbits this weekend. These two contests were the first of Sozio’s 2018-19, though his experience with the Eels goes back to 2016.
Goaltender: Shaun Hatton, Tampa Bay Juniors.
Hatton (‘01/Bradenton, Fla.) stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Juniors’ win over the Blades on Saturday. He moved to 6-3 with the win – his second in a row – and stands eighth overall in the Elite Division with a .914 save percentage.
