Adam Burtzlaff and Gage McNeish Awarded All Star Player of The Week

Congratulations to our first class of USPHL Elite Players Of the Week, representing teams from across our Southeast and Florida Divisions.

Forward: Adam Burtzlaff, Florida Eels.

This past weekend, Burtzlaff (’00/Broomfield, Colo.) was a dominant player for the Eels. He tallied five goals in two games, and was an effective player at both ends of the ice. Adam’s hockey sense and hard work help contribute to his success.

Defense: Gage McNeish, Florida Eels

Gage McNeish (’01/Summerville, S.C.) was definitely the most effective player for the Eels this past weekend. He is highly athletic and a gifted hockey player, this in addition to his hard work on and off the ice helped contribute to his success.

As a defenseman, he racked up two goals and an assist. With stats not being a priority of his, he always puts the team first.

Goaltender: David Blue, Carolina Eagles

From the Carolina Eagles, the Elite Goaltender Of The Week is David Blue for his 42-save performance in the Eagles 2-1 loss to the Charlotte Rush.

Blue, an ’01 from Raleigh, N.C., returns to the Eagles Elite as one of only four veteran players.

Please note, USPHL Elite Players Of The Week from the Northern divisions will begin the week of Sept. 24, as very few teams from the North and Mid-Atlantic Divisions have played thus far.

Methodology: A committee of USPHL coaches from the Southeast and Florida divisions nominate and select the Players Of The Week.
