USPHL Combine to feature Chicago Blackhawks Strength and Conditioning Coach

The United States Premier Hockey League is proud and honored to announce that Chicago Blackhawks Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Paul Goodman and his staff will run the off-ice testing at the USPHL Combine July 26-28.

The free Combine will be held at the Blackhawks’ practice facility Fifth Third Arena (1801 W. Jackson Blvd.) in downtown Chicago, Ill.

Goodman is a Sports Science PhD candidate and co-author of the human Kinetics book “Hockey Anatomy,” an illustrated guide to hockey training, with a foreword by Jonathan Toews.

Attached is a picture from this week at Goodman Elite Training, showing Goodman with Toews, Connor Murphy, Ryan Hartman, Alex DeBrincat and Tommy Wingels.

The Combine will be using the facilities the Chicago Blackhawks train in every day at Fifth Third Arena.

This free USPHL Combine event is intended to provide players from throughout the U.S. Midwest and beyond a chance to play in front of USPHL coaches towards potential 2019-20 roster spots, as well as prospects for future seasons.

There will be teams from multiple divisions of the unparalleled USPHL Development Model, from the tuition-free Tier-2 NCDC to Full-Season Midget Hockey teams, all looking for the top talent the Midwest has to offer.
