THIS WEEKEND THE EELS SQUARE OFF VS. THEIR CHIEF EAST COAST OF FLORIDA RIVALS’ THE PALM BEACH HAWKS.

On Friday, the Eels Premier and Elite team travel to West Palm Beach to play in their 1st series of games vs the Palm Beach Hawks. The Hawks are the 2nd oldest Junior program in Florida, the Eels being the most senior of all programs. These two programs have battled it out for over 15 seasons with repeated high end regular season games and the most competitive playoff series in Junior hockey. The rivalry is real and very spirited. This is the 1st time the two organizations have met this season. In last year’s playoffs, the Eels eliminated the Hawks in the 1st round winning the best 2 out of 3. Be sure the Hawks are looking to avenge their elimination. They finished 3rd overall in the standings below the Eels.

Last weekend the Hawks lost both games to DME Swamp rabbits in their season opener Friday evening and then in Sunday’s home opener. The Hawks will be looking for their 1st win of their young season. The Eels on the other hand enjoyed strong performances in their season openers but both teams lost in OT.

The Premier team is scheduled to play drop of puck 6:00 pm in Palm Beach and the Elite team squares off at 8:30 pm

The two programs come back to Fort Myers for the Eels home games Sunday. Elite team plays at 1:30 pm and the Premier teams square off at 3:45 pm
