The Florida Eels are extremely excited to announce the signing of 2002 defensemen Neil Campbell to its junior program. Neil has great size at 6’3 185 LBS and uses his body to his advantage. He is known for his physicality. He battles relentlessly in front of his  own crease and along the boards. He tirelessly out works his opponents. He has solid gap control and denies zone entry. He moves the puck very nicely on the breakout and plays an equally dominate role in the neutral zone.

Campbell has excellent skill set. Has very good puck control and an excellent skater. He is very effective on the offensive blueline. He has a very heavy shot that reaches the opposing netminders. He has very good vision and very patient with the puck. This young man has enormous potential. He has tremendous upside. He is very levelheaded, does not get unraveled, has great composure.

Campbell is a team player. Dedicated to his task. Strong work ethic. He is a very determined player and individual. Has a high hockey IQ. Plays with the unwavering commitment to win aligned with the Eels philosophy . He shares our vision with a quest to win a National Championship. He is ready to accept what is given to him and develop his game to reach the Next Level: College Hockey.  Neil embodies the spirit of being an Eel. We welcome him to our Eels family.
