The Florida Eels Are Extremely Excited to announce the Re-Signing of Veteran Eels Forward Kaleb Harrop

Kaleb Harrop has been with the Eels for the past two seasons. He immediately ripened into one of the Eels top forwards.  At 6’0” 194 lbs. he is a force to be reckoned with. He has strong skill set but is not complacent. To the contrary, he worked very hard, some days 4-5 hours at a clip to further develop his skill set and bring his game to the Next Level.  He is often seen shooting 100-150 pucks per day. The fruits of his efforts are shown on the scoreboard. As a rookie in 39 games he tallied 15 goals 10 assists for 25 points. Despite this accomplishment, this past season he came in more determined than ever. He was first on the fore-check. Created  loose puck turnovers. Was first on puck retrieval. And he increased his shot count by two-fold. The fruits of his efforts were incredible. This past season in 40 games he scored 27 goals and 19 assists for a total of 46 points.

He was the lead guy on the power play, the penalty kill and 5 on 5. He took total ownership of his team. He was selected as assistant captain and took this responsibility to heart. He was a total team player and great leader on and off the ice. You can see his intensity and dedication every shift. He plays with an incredibly high compete level. The scouting report on Harrop is he can score at will. Great hands and strong vision. Yes he has natural talent but when you combine this with his work ethic, you have that impactful player he has become!

His accomplishments were herald in the league: being selected numerous times as Player of the Week, Player of the Month, selected to the HUB City League All Star team and final selection by the USPHL panel of coaches as year-end league all-star.

We know Kaleb’s DNA. He is expected to come in this season with even greater intestinal fortitude and determination to bring his game to an even higher level. There is no doubt he is an NCAA quality player. We have already heard form a number of college coaches.  His hunger and thirst is contagious and we are honored to have him back with the Eels.
