The Florida Eels Are Excited To Announce 5’8” 170 pound Veteran Forward Colton Crabtree from Brighton, CO Returns To The Eels Premier Team for the 2018-19 Season.

Colton is a veteran player who is entering his 3rd year as a Junior player for the Eels.  Last year in 41 games he scored 24 goals and notched 44 assists for 66 points. That was nearly 60% increase from his totals in his first year. There are not too many guys who can make that jump. We look for similar improvement in his over all game this season as well where he is looking to play NCAA college hockey.  He came in on fire last season and his attitude and determination over the off –season suggest the same this season.

He plays like Brad Marchand of the Bruins says GM Scarpaci. He is the guy opposing coaches hate to play against.  He never stops coming at them. He is relentless the entire game. He intends to deny opposing teams any chance on the ice. No to the puck, no to taking shots”

Premier Coach Frank Scarpaci comments, “He is an in your face player who throttles everything to the net. He plays at a very high tempo and has enormous passion and is a very determined young man. He is selfless and wants the team to win; he will block shots, crashes the net hard, and battle so hard along the boards…” Elite coach Alex Sanchez notes that his point advancement was no accident. He has an insatiable appetite to score.  He pushes his teammates to that Next level….you feel his presence every shift”

GM Scarpaci says Colton remained here in Florida to train throughout the Summer. He is a last year guy before heading to college. He impressed a good number of college coaches last season but this season he wants to heighten his level and secure solid offers. He is all about his team. He is determined to bring his team to Nationals and win it all. But he knows it is a long haul. We are very excited to have Colton
