The Florida Eels announce its 282nd College Commitment as  TJ Zebley commits to FGCU ACHA Div. II team.

We are so excited that TJ committed to Florida Gulf Coast University. It is his hometown college hockey team. TJ is one of the most talented players who ever suited up for the Florida Eels. He comes from Philadelphia PA and plays with the heart and sole of the original Flyers. TJ has excellent skill set. A very strong skater. Great vison.  A gifted scorer with incredible hands. . Indeed, Coach Scarpaci coins him as a sniper. He has scored so many clutch goals over his career. In 163 games, he scored 89 Goals in the USPHL. He notched 131 Assists for 220 points.  So many game winners. He is stealth like and is so difficult to play against. As lethal as he is offensively, he is equally strong as defensive center. He simply shuts opposing players down. It makes him so valuable to any college program as he is so effective on special teams.

GM Scarpaci echoes, that throughout his tenure with the Eels, Zebley was one player college coaches consistently called about.  This does not come as a surprise, comments GM Scarpaci. . The college coaches readily saw TJ was a true leader on both the Eels Premier and Elite teams. He was bestowed assistant Captain on each of his Eels teams. TJ had so many NCAA college opportunities. But this young man knew what he wanted, and he had his sights set on FGCU academic program and he also knew how strong FGCU’s hockey program was. They have won so many National titles. He will be a value asset to their program as he was to the Eels.

TJ is a high character individual who comes from an incredible family.  Who has strong integrity with tremendous dedication and determination.  He plays with the unwavering commitment to win. We wish him the best in his college career; we know he will make us proud.
