Spotlight On Florida Eels Elite Players

Justin Colton 2003 Rookie. Right Shot Defensemen from Parkland, FL, Florida He is 5’10 165 lbs.

Prior to joining the Florida Eels he played high school hockey and Tier I AAA where he scored 34 goals and 43 assists. He is a solid player with outstanding skill set.  He generally played forward but transferred to to Defense with the Eels. He no doubt is gifted with the puck, has excellent control, very high hockey IQ. Has made the transition very well. A significant part of the Eels success this season. In just 6 games he garnered 2 goals and 3 helpers. He has explosive seed and works well converting the rush out of the zone. Dead accurate on the offensive blueline. Justin is a first line power play guy. Strong college prospect. We expect his to be close to a point per game. No doubt will ripen into a league all-star.

 

Andrew Ward. 2004 Rookie Left Shoot Forward from Fort Myers Florida. He is 6’2 190 lbs.

Prior to joining the Eels Elite team, he played high school and youth hockey. The trained all summer with                 series. The Eels coaches were indeed impressed with his skill set and fortitude. In 5 games this season he has 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points. He works extremely hard at practice and his off- ice work ethic and conditioning is phenomenal.  He is a first line power play guy. This young man has the ability to go the distance. NCAA Hockey. He is so young and has incredible upside. He could easily become Rookie of the year. He already is one the Eels Elite team’s impactful player.

 

Braeden Bzovey2003 Rookie Defensemen from Winnipeg Canada.  Right Shoot 5’11” 170 lbs.

He too was a forward converted to defense. Back home in Winnipeg, playing Tier I AAA he garnered 21 goals and 32 assists. He obviously can move the puck. Excellent skill set. Outstanding skater with quick acceleration up ice. He is a difference maker. He sees the ice very well. Great vision. He quarterbacks to top line power play and key on the PK. He has tremendous hockey sense. Great work ethic. Outstanding team guy. He is a solid NCAA College prospect. He has so much upside. In his short season of 7 games  he already has 2 goals and 3 assists.
