McNeish 2001 defensemen who is 5’11 165 lbs. will be calling Roosevelt University his home along with his long time best friend and defensive partner Cade Swygert. Both are from Summerville, SC.  McNeish played his entire Junior career with the Eels (4) years  all 140 games. He accumulated 91 points during his tenue with the Eels. He served as Captain of the Elite team his 2nd season and assistant Captain on the Premier team.

He is a highly skilled puck moving defensemen. Very strong skill set. Solid skills set. Has outstanding vision. Sees the play very well. Very strong in all 3 zones. Makes nice clean direct passes on the breakout. He jumps in on the transition to quickly accelerate the puck out of the D zone. He has a nice accurate shot from the blueline. Very offensive minded. He plays with a high compete level.

He is a great team player. Great leader on and off the ice. High character young man. Very dedicated to his team.  Willing to take huge sacrifices for the good of his team. He is always looking to improve his game and take it to the Next Level. Although he has another year of junior eligibility he is comfortable with his decision to commence his college education and take his hockey to the next chapter-college hockey. We wish Gage the best We will miss him.
