The Florida Eels stormed into Round One of the USPHL Florida Divisional Playoffs with fire, focus, and an unshakable determination to claim victory. Many doubted them, expecting Bold City to win, but the Eels knew better. With polished skill, relentless effort, and unwavering dedication, they delivered a commanding 4-2 win, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with-and making the statement they are just getting started.
The game began with Bold City drawing first blood, but the Eels wasted no time in responding with a trio of electrifying goals, sending a clear message that they were in it to win it.
At 15:03 in the first period, Yiorgos Bikakis kicked off the Eels’ scoring frenzy with a precision strike, assisted by Teddy Feng. Sixten Gidlund followed up with another clutch goal, courtesy of a stellar setup by Gino Indelicato and Anthony Zebley, at 1:40 in the second period. The momentum only grew stronger as Robin Kuusik lit the lamp, at 2:15 in the second period, with a powerful finish, fed by Etienne Cartier and Matthew Cunningham. To seal the deal, Gino Indelicato buried the final goal for the Eels at 19:21 in the third period, assisted by Sixten Gidlund and Anthony Zebley.
In net, Nova Scotia native Russ Decoste delivered a rock-solid performance, shutting down key opportunities for Bold City and standing tall under pressure. His composure and superior goaltending played a crucial role in securing the victory for the Eels.
From the first drop of the puck to the final buzzer, the Florida Eels showcased their dominance, outworking and outplaying their opponents in every zone.
