FLORIDA EELS PREMIER FINAL EELS OVER BLADES IN OT

The Florida Eels Premier team continues its winning ways with its 4-3 OT win last night over the Jr Blades.In the first period the Eels out shot them 18 to 2. It was amazing the score remained 0 at the end of the 1st. The Eels left at least 5-6 goals in the crease and their goalie played very well. In the 2nd period the Eels continued their onslaught pending away at the Blades net minder. This period the Eels put 2 behind the back of the net and once again left 1/2 dozen in the goal crease. The score should have been double digits. The clock showed the Eels out shot them 29-16.
The Blades would not quit though and came back and also got on the score board with 2 of their own to tie things up 2-2. Incredible as they went into the 3rd all even
This was an incredibly tense game high tempo and both teams were giving their all. Up and down the ice shift by shift you can see both teams wanted it more. No doubt it was a hard fought battle from the drop of puck, shift by shift period by period till the final whittle at the OT goal won by the Eels.
The 3rd period was equally a pressure cooker. The Blades went ahead 5 minutes into the period to put the Eels on their heals. But the Eels never panic. Coach Frankie Scarpaci’s teams have ice water in their veins. They were patient and came back to tie it up and face it into OT. Score 3-3
The Eels and Blades went into 3 on 3 for 5 minutes.
Then the Eels went to work. And they didi what they do best Put the other team to rest. And with .25 seconds into the OT period to secure the win.
Today the Eels Premier play the Jr Blades again to complete the home and away series. 3:20 pm drop of puck at the Skatium
