Florida Eels Premier and Elite Teams Clinch First Place

Congrats to  both the Florida Eels Premier and Elite teams as they captured First Place in their respective Florida Division standings. This is 4 years straight for the Premier team who have won that title each year. In fact, the Premier team not only have cemented its place as the top Florida team in its Division each season, it has advanced out of the first round steadfastly for over a decade advancing to Nationals.  Indeed, last season the Eels Premier team was inches away from a National Championship title losing by a one goal narrow margin in the championship game.

 

The Elite team also secured its spot this season as the Florida Divisional leaders. They did this with a convincing 17 game winning streak in the last two months of the regular season. Each year the Eels Elite and Tampa trade places for the top seed. Last year it was Tampa in first the prior year it was all Eels.  The Elite team took things to a whole other level this season following closely what the recipe of their Premier brothers in training, spirit, and comradery.

 

Sunday both squads face-off against their cross town rivals the Jr Blades. Elite 10:30 am and Premier 1:00 pm The Elite still have one remaining game to be played against Palm Beach. A make up match due to the fire at Ice Zone in Palm Beach

 

The playoffs will take place March 12th – 14th in Wesley Chapel Best 2 out of 3 matchup. The Eels will be the 1st seed. We are awaiting the results of the Tampa vs Atlanta Madhatters games this weekend to see if we play the Madhatters or Jr Blades.
