Eels Players Prospects and Coaches Heading to USPHL and New England Pro Am NHL Pre Draft May 8-10

Big Recruiting Weekend ForEels Vets and Prospects

The Florida Eels will be off to Boston Massachusetts with 4 teams this weekend. Friday May 8th – Sunday May 10th competing and showcasing their prospects in the New England Pro Am NHL Pre Draft in Walpole and the USPHL Showcase in Marlboro MA.

The Eels will be fielding two teams at the Pre Draft and two teams at the USPHL showcases. That is over 70 players between the two events. These showcases are used by the Eels as tryout forums to evaluate new prospects as well as showcase venues for our players to be seen by college scouts and recruiters..

No doubt these are the most prestigious college and junior spring showcases in North America. They garner NHL scouts, NCAA and ACHA college recruiters, USHL, QMJHL, OHL, WHL, BCHL USPHL, NAHL, and EHL scouts from across the USA and Canada.

These showcases definitely place our players under the recruiters’ radar. We have already heard form numerous scouts who will be there looking for players.

This is a very exciting opportunity for our veterans and new prospects. The Eels will also get to see our prospects in high-level games and how they play and evaluate their chemistry and compete level. This will mark over 3 decades of the Eels participation in these events.

The Eels will have all of its coaches in attendance coupled with its Northeast and Massachusetts scouts over the weekend.
