Elite / Southern Divisions

Forward: Ivan Korcak, Charlotte Rush

The Rush produced the season’s first leading scorer, as the ‘00 from Slovakia scored seven points in his first two games against Hampton Roads. In the process, the Rush earned their first two victories. In Game 1 of the season on Sept. 14, he scored a goal and two assists. He followed that with a hat trick and one more assist on Sunday for the weekend sweep.

Defense: Zechariah Thomas, Florida Eels

An ‘02 from Oshawa, Ont., Thomas made the long trip down to Florida for his hockey development and so far it has paid off. He had a goal and an assist in each of the Eels’ two wins over the weekend against the Atlanta Madhatters. This included a goal and an assist on the power play.

Goaltender: Jordan Stone, Charleston Colonials

In both his first junior game and that of the Colonials, Stone (‘00/Charleston, S.C.) made 60 saves in a close 3-2 loss to the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes. He stopped everything he saw for 43 minutes, 54 seconds of the game.
