The Florida Eels go ahead in first place to over take the Tampa Juniors. With the win today the Eels take sole possession of first place. The Eels have 54 points whereas the Tampa Juniors are edged with 52 points.
This was a huge win for the Eels and a critical win indeed for the Eels to gain daylight in the standings.
This was a solid performance by the Eels. Strong offense and equally smothering defense. The Eels were able to thaw any sustained attack on the Eels in their zone and Liam O’Gwen closed the door shut limiting only one goal against.
The Eels return to action this Wednesday when they take on the Jersey Hitmen at the Hub City in Tampa.
