Hunter Howe Commits to NCAA Div. 3 New England College

The Florida Eels are thrilled to announce that Hunter Howe has committed to NCAA Div. 3 New England College for the 2022 season. This is very exciting moment for Hunter. He came to the Eels midseason last season to garner insurance in the back end. And it proved to be the right decision for all. Hunter is one of the hardest working defensemen in the league. He does it quietly. He is more of a defensive D Man. A shut down guy and we needed that element to compliment the other guys on the team.

He brings a lot of energy to the ice and lockerroom. A team guy Very dedicated and loyal to the program. He has tremendous work ethic and the unwavering commitment to win. He played a large part in the Eels successful two year run at Nationals.

Hunter had a number of offers but he really felt NEC was the right choice for him. When you look at the academics, the school, the location, its internships, and in the heartland of Education this made his choice easy. Moreover, when you look at the NEC hockey program it is similar to the Eels. Coach Tom Carrol is a tough demanding coach who expects a lot from his players. He expects guys to not only have the “Will to Win” but to go out and do it. He expects determination and fortitude not only in games but every second at practice. Focus and execution” Well that sounds a lot like the Eels and Hunter is thrilled and excited to go to NEC.

Coach Carrol is looking forward to Hunter joining as well. He got to see him at Nationals for the last two seasons and during our showcases.

Howe is the Eels 308th Commitment of its players to college. Hunter we wish you the very best and make us proud.
