Divisions
The Florida Eels Junior Hockey program is a dominant force in the world of competitive ice hockey. As of December 2025, the Eels program has advanced over 380 players to college hockey. Florida Eels Junior Hockey Program currently has two teams who participate in the USPHL Premier Division and the USPHL Elite Division, with an NCDC expansion fall of 2026. Both their Elite and Premier teams consistently ranked among the top in the USPHL, the Florida Eels have proven time and time again that they are a team of high-caliber players who are dedicated to their craft.
NCDC Division (coming Fall 2026)
Florida Eels will join the NCDC Division of the USPHL in the 2026-2027 season. After being a powerhouse organization in their respective Premier and Elite Divisions over the past two decades. As the Eels elevate to Tier II, junior status players will be able to compete against top end talent from across the country in a cost- effective manner, with continued focus on player development and exposure to collegiate and professional hockey avenues. Florida Eels have always focused on player development, and advancement to college hockey, entering into the NCDC division allows for players additional exposure and opportunities to move onto NCAA hockey programs after junior level.
As they have over the course of their tenure with the USPHL Premier and Elite divisions in the past, the Eels will continue to prove themselves as a highly talented, dedicated, passionate and competitive junior program in the USPHL. The Eels look forward to our first season in the USPHL NCDC Division in the upcoming season.
Premier Division
Florida Eels Junior Premier Division is a powerhouse in the world of ice hockey! Last season the Premier Team was ranked number 1 in the USPHL Premier Division and Number 2 in the USA. This exceptional team has been dominating the divisional competition, securing the coveted title for over six consecutive years. Their remarkable achievements do not end there, as they have consistently qualified for the prestigious USPHL Nationals for the past six years, making their mark on the national stage.
The Florida Eels Premier Team’s journey to success has been nothing short of extraordinary. Over the last four years, they have displayed their unparalleled skill and determination by reaching the semi-finals or finals of the USPHL Nationals, proving themselves to be a force to be reckoned with.
This past year, the Premier Team continued to amaze with an impressive win record that sent waves of excitement through the ice hockey community. Their dedication, teamwork, and passion for the sport have led them to achieve greatness and establish themselves as one of the most dominant teams in their division.
As they continue to elevate their game year after year, the Florida Eels Junior Premier Division serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes and a source of pride for their devoted fan base. With their eyes set on even greater triumphs in the future, it’s no doubt that this team is on a path to ice hockey glory!
Elite Division (current 2025-2026 season)
Florida Eels Junior Elite Division is a force to be reckoned with in the world of ice hockey! This exceptional team holds the prestigious Florida Divisional Title, showcasing its dominance in the region and setting the standard for excellence on the ice.
With a reputation for excellence, the Elite Team consistently makes appearances in the highly competitive USPHL Nationals, proving their mettle on the national stage. Their ability to consistently qualify for such a prestigious event is a testament to their unwavering dedication and skill.
The Florida Eels Junior Elite Division boasts an impressive win record, leaving their opponents in awe and solidifying their position as one of the most highly regarded teams in their division. In the National rankings, the Elite team ranked higher than many Premier teams in the league. Their commitment to teamwork, discipline, and relentless pursuit of victory has earned them respect on and off the ice.
U18 Junior Development Division (coming Fall of 2026)
The Florida Eels will launch their U18 Junior Development division in the Fall of 2026-2027. The Eels Junior Development team will focus on developing players and their game to advance them to the next level of hockey (Premier and NCDC). Players who participate in this division will train along-side top notch players from across the country, and compete against upcoming talent from around the state and USPHL league. Florida Eels continue to focus on player development and progression. We look forward to adding this layer to our operation.
