Eels Annual College Tours

 The Florida Eels Junior Teams travels  to New England as part of its showcase series. Often they will embark on a College Tour as part of their education experience and quest for college.   These tours give players an opportunity to visit colleges and universities and meet with the admissions office, tour the campus, view classrooms and dorms, meet the ice hockey coaches and their players, attend practices and watch the hockey teams train and attend games to observe first hand the speed and level of these teams.     Our players observe college practices and  generally attend 2-3  college games while on the tours

These tours help seniors and juniors get ready to attend college.  During these visits we have had numerous players recruited by a number of Eastern Colleges and   from the USHL.

 At the various games the area New England college coaches get to also see our players first hand show off their talents and skills This is a phenomenal event for all of the boys who play on the Eels. Our Players often participate 2-3 years on this tour as they can garner so much information to help them make an intelligent and informed decision about their future college plans

The players and parents who have attended these tours have remarked that these visitations have been the height of their hockey experience. No other  forum provides the students and athletes with as much information as they obtain there. The students get to “kick the tires” if you will. The guys get to compare first hand from these visits what campus life is like, including the dorms, teachers and the food. Yes we do get to eat right on campus!
